Broadway.com's resident artist Justin "Squigs" Robertson stopped by the Schoenfeld Theatre to pen a political portrait of Eric McCormack, John Larroquette and the rest of the star-studded cast of Gore Vidal's The Best Man, including James Earl Jones, Angela Lansbury, Candice Bergen, Kerry Butler, Michael McKean, Jefferson Mays, Dakin Matthews and Corey Brill. Set in 1960 at the national convention in Philadelphia, The Best Man is the story of two political candidates (McCormack and Larroquette) who go head-to-head in the race to become their party’s presidential candidate. About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home. Click to e-mail Squigs. Photo by Matthew Murphy
